Family Promise of Northern New Castle County is a community of faith-based congregations, volunteers and homeless families with children growing in faith, hope, and love.

Mission

Family Promise of Northern New Castle County helps homeless families with children move toward lasting independence by providing a safe place to eat and sleep, intensive case management, life skills training, support, and encouragement.  Each guest and volunteer is important to us, and we are joyful about all of the acts that happen in our midst to restore families to stable housing.

* There are over 2,000 homeless children in Delaware (News Journal, Sept. 15th, 2009)

* Family Promise® is a unique, interfaith organization assisting homeless children and families by providing hospitality directly in our houses of worship.

* We are affiliated with the national Family Promise® organization which provides us the organizational model to ensure success, building upon a proven 20-year track record, now consisting of over 150 networks and 5,000 congregations throughout the United States.

* We are a local, Delaware 501(c)(3) nonprofit.  98.5% of our funding stays in Delaware. * We are actively working to partner with and complement the wonderful existing organizations already serving the homeless population in Delaware (a few examples are shown under links).
