Family Promise® of Northern New Castle County Facebook is a way to keep connected informally through the ever increasingly popular Facebook. 
Homeless Planning Council of Delaware (Susan Starrett) is an active, cooperative coalition of public, nonprofit and private-sector organizations and individuals working together year-round to address issues related to homelessness in Delaware. For a complete list of homeless organizations and contact information, see the Housing In a Hurry Brochure. Homeless Shelters Friendship House, Inc. (Bill Perkins) is a non-profit Christian corporation committed to making a difference in the lives of the homeless people of New Castle County, Delaware. Sunday Breakfast Mission (Rev. Tom Laymon) is a non-profit Christian corporation providing shelter to men, meals to all homeless with construction of a new facility to provide shelter for families. They also provide a number of other services. YWCA Homelife Management provides shelter to women and children. Salvation Army provides a variety services to the homeless including including the Code Purple program which provides shelter during cold winter nights. The Ministry of Caring is a non-profit, ecumenical organization devoted to serving poor, homeless, and disadvantaged people in and around Wilmington, Delaware. The Ministry of Caring offers food, shelter, job training and placement, child care, basic medical and dental care, a residence for people living with AIDS, clothing and household goods for those in need. Family Promise® is committed to working with these organizations to increase the awareness of and capability to serve the homeless in Northern New Castle County. How is Family Promise® distinctive and additive? See "Why Family Promise®?" Clothing and other services The Clothing Bank of Delaware operated by Friendship House, Inc. and the Sunday Breakfast Mission both provide clothing to those in need. Family Promise® suggests you provide your extra clothing to one of these organizations. Urban Promise Wilmington (Rob Prestowicz) is ministry to children and youth living in the inner-city neighborhoods of Wilmington, Delaware. While Family Promise® and Urban Promise both share "Promise" in the name, they are distinct separate organizations with the word "Promise" being a coinicidence. Formal Dress Project (Tracy Burns) provides free prom dresses to low-income families. See the website for contact information.
