Calling all walkers, we need your help! Due to COVID 19, this year's Highmark Walk will be virtual - now what exactly does that mean?

A virtual walk is a real walk, but it’s on your terms! Anytime between May 9 – June 30, you choose how and when you walk (treadmill, park or trail, or around the neighborhood) – it’s your choice!  You also pick the time of when you start and stop! You can walk and post about it on Facebook, tell your friends/neighbors, and really anything you can think of to raise awareness.

Anyone who donates $15 will receive a Highmark Walk t-shirt featuring Family Promise NNCC!

Anyone who would like to be a team captain, please reach out to Tyler, our Development & Marketing Manager at tyler@familypromisede.org

  • Walk captains are responsible for creating walks teams. Captains recruit friends, family, neighbors or anyone looking to support a good cause.

Family Promise and the Synchrony Foundation Announce $1.2 Million Pilot Program to Combat Homelessness. Via this partnership, Family Promise NNCC will be receiving a $50,000 grant for our Diversion Program. This funding comes at a time when the need for Diversion services is higher than ever before. Through our Diversion Program we work with families to divert them from shelter altogether and keep them in permanent housing.

In times of crisis its essential we come together to overcome the challenges we face as a community. United Way of Delaware awarded Family Promise NNCC $10,000 for motel vouchers, enabling us to serve families experiencing homelessness despite the temporary closure of our Hospitality Network. Every family in our care will receive case management services and assistance to empower them to quickly secure permanent housing!

Motel units offer an ideal space to place families in at this time. Each family served will be allotted their own unit, limiting their exposure to other families.
