Expanding Hope: The New Hospitality Center

We’re growing—and it’s all because of you.

Thanks to the overwhelming support of our community, Family Promise NNCC has officially broken ground on the construction of our new Hospitality Center, a vital expansion that will allow us to double the number of families we can shelter on-site and deepen the impact of our programs.

Why We're Expanding

Homelessness among families in Delaware has nearly tripled in recent years. Right now, too many children are sleeping in cars, spare rooms, or motels—without the stability, support, or safety they need to thrive.

This expansion is our answer.

With this new building, we will double the amount families we can help at a time, helping more than 170 parents and children every year. It’s not just about space—it’s about creating a true home-like environment with dignity, privacy, and care.

What the New Hospitality Center Will Include

Private bedrooms and bathrooms for families
A commercial kitchen and dining space.
A Family Center—a multi-use space for programs, community partnerships, and gatherings
Expanded laundry, storage

What the New Hospitality Center Will Offer

This expansion goes beyond shelter. Every family that comes through our doors will receive:

Daily meals and essential supplies
Case management and housing assistance
Financial coaching, job readiness training, and more
One full year of follow-up support after exiting shelter

And thanks to our proven model, over 82% of families exit into permanent housing,

and stay housed for years to come.
