2021 has been quite the busy year so far as the need for our services remains sky high. Family Promise NNCC continues to operate our two shelter programs and our two community programs in addition to working with the County at the Hope Center, and the State on Project Hope. Below is a snapshot of our outputs/outcomes for the year so far.

Calling all walkers, we need your help! As with last year, this year's Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community will be virtual.

A virtual walk is a real walk, but it’s on your terms! Anytime on June 12th you choose how and when you walk (treadmill, park or trail, or around the neighborhood) – it’s your choice! You also pick the time of when you start and stop!

Most of us will be walking separately this year, but we'll all still be walking to end homelessness for families on June 12th! You can walk and post about it on Facebook, tell your friends/neighbors, and really anything you can think of to raise awareness.

On June 12th, Our Development & Marketing Director Tyler Shade, will be walking down the aisle to get married! How will you walk on June 12th?

Anyone who donates $30 and registers as a walker will receive a Highmark Walk t-shirt featuring Family Promise NNCC! To receive a t-shirt, you must register as a walker, and then donate $30 to your personal walk page.

Our Executive Staff will also be matching donations up to $2,500!

Anyone who would like to be a team captain, please reach out to

Tyler at tyler@familypromisede.org

  • Walk captains are responsible for creating walks teams. Captains recruit friends, family, neighbors or anyone looking to support a good cause.

2020 has been an extremely difficult year for everyone, and we're so thankful for the support we continue to receive from our volunteers. Our Community Engagement Manager Andrea has planned a Volunteer Appreciation event this April. Join us for a drive by event to celebrate you!

We want to celebrate all of our volunteers and the wonderful work you all do on Saturday, April 24th, from 10am to 11am. Meet us in the St. James Church Parking lot at: 2106 St. James Church Rd. Wilmington, DE 19808.

Simply drive through the lot, stop by to say hello, and we'll have some neat items to gift you as a token of our appreciation for your support! Reach out to Andrea at andrea@familypromisede.org to RSVP (RSVPs are not required).
