2021 Virtual Highmark Walk

What is the Highmark Health Walk?

The Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community is an annual fundraising walk that benefits local health and human service agencies.

Highmark Inc. coordinates and underwrites the cost of the walk so that 100 percent of the money raised by walkers goes to the participating nonprofits.

The primary goal of the Walk is to help participating organizations raise money for their individual missions. The secondary goal of the Walk is to energize community members to have a greater hand in their health by becoming or staying physically active.

If you’re unable to participate for any reason, but still want to support Family Promise, you can simply donate as well.

Why Donate?

All funds raised will be used to assist families experiencing homelessness move into permanent housing. Your donation will help us secure an apartment for a family! As you know, COVID19 has exacerbated an affordable housing crisis while simultaneously weakening the job market, placing many of Delaware's families in precarious financial situations. Consequently, the demand for shelter and case management services for families experiencing homelessness has never been higher. Your donation will help us house families experiencing homelessness in our shelters, in our community, and families currently sheltering at the Hope Center.

Plus, there are other benefits to donating:

  • If you register as a walker, and donate $30 or more to your personal page, you will receive a Highmark Walk T-shirt featuring Family Promise NNCC.
